All fees exclude VAT (16% where applicable). Annual Roster fees are deducted automatically from your QAR; waived if you receive no appointments in a year.
First review of applications: 15 August 2026. Apply by then to be considered for early appointments in Q4 2026 / Q1 2027. Recruitment continues after this date.
Q: How many appointments will I get?
We cannot guarantee a specific number. However, demand is real: millions of dormant estates (AISTAR), backlogged land/commercial cases (AITAR), and election cycles (AIETAR). Early members may receive 2–5 appointments in the first year. Annual fee waived if you receive zero appointments.
Q: What if I receive zero appointments in a year?
Your annual Roster fee is automatically waived; you pay nothing for that year. You remain on the Roster.
Q: Is training recognised by my professional body (LSK, ICPSK, etc.)?
We provide CPD certificates. Recognition is subject to each body's policies. We are engaging with professional bodies, but you should confirm directly.
Q: What is the Quality Assurance Retention (QAR)?
20% of your professional fee is held for 42 days after your Determination becomes final. If no review is filed, it is released to you. If a review is filed, it is held pending outcome. It is deferred payment; not a penalty.
Q: Can I join without a university degree?
Yes. We assess competence, not credentials. You may qualify through training or direct entry.
Q: How long does training take?
Self paced. Most candidates complete Tier I in 3 to 6 months part‑time.
Q: What is the difference between Roster member and ARP?
Roster member = Tribunal member (decides disputes). ARP = Authorised Representative (appears on behalf of parties). You can be both, or either.
Q: What is the pecuniary jurisdiction for Tier A?
Up to KES 20,000,000 (or as specified in the Roster Policy). Tier B has unlimited jurisdiction subject to tiered PI insurance bands.
Q: Are hearings confidential?
No. Article 50(1) requires open hearings. Only limited Article 50(8) exceptions with written reasons.
Q: What are the PI insurance requirements for Tier B?
Under Gazette Notices 11 & 12/2026, Tier B members must maintain at least KES 1,000,000 coverage (Band 1). For matters above KES 5M, higher bands apply. See the gazette notice for details.
